Out and About - Community Access

Out and About

Out and About is an individualised program of supports for participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme who identify as a member of the GLBTIQ community, and would like some assistance to create safe social opportunities in the local Geelong community, or assistance accessing social, community, or civic activities that occur in Melbourne.

Community Access understands that sometimes this support will be required on weekends and evenings, and include reliable return transportation back to Geelong.

While most of our programs are group based, one-to-one support can also be negotiated.

Please lodge your interest via our Contact Us page, along with your contact details and the types of activities you would be interested in accessing.

PUSHPIN.JPGDepending upon your interests, you will need a mixture of group social and community hours during the week, some evening hours, and some hours for Saturday and Sunday. Community Access does not hold specific GLBTIQ events, but can assist you to access what's already available. Not all requests can be accommodated. Community Access vehicles are not modified to accommodate powered wheelchairs, but can take lightweight collapsible or folding chairs. Please let us know your requirements when booking.
